Mountain Wilderness’s Obsolete Installations Program goes to Canigó

In the context of its successful Obsolete Installations program, volunteers of Mountain Wilderness France and Mountain Wilderness Catalonia will meet on 7 and 8 September 2019 to dismantle disused installations for agriculture and restore the area to its natural character. It will also be an opportunity to symbolically celebrate the 30th anniversary of MW Catalonia.

September 7 and 8, Canigó Massif

The operation will take place on the Pla Guillem site, located in the municipal territory of Prats-de-Mollo, in the Canigó massif, the sacred mountain of the catalans.

The project will be carried out in partnership with the Syndicat mixte du Canigó Grand Site, and will include the removal of abandoned agricultural-type facilities such as a cabin and a pastoral park that have not been used for years.
