2025 is the UNESCO Year of Glaciers. That is why Mountain Wilderness International has chosen this topic as one of this year’s focal points. We at Mountain Wilderness Germany have already been to the summit of the Weißsespitze (Ötztal Alps/ 3518 m) in April 2024. We will repeat this on Sunday, 13 July 2025, as a new cable car is to be built to the summit. And two new ski lifts are to be built on the magnificent Gepatschferner.
