Gianluca UGOLINI

Born in Rome in 1963, Gianluca is CEO of the Italian branch of a German software engineering group specialising in semiconductor test automation. A lifelong admirer of American literature, he founded and directs a cultural association promoting Anglo American culture. An AIGAE certified environmental hiking guide, he leads mountain excursions and collaborates with the Monti Simbruini Regional Park and WWF, for which he created English language outdoor programmes for young people. He is also a volunteer guardian for unaccompanied foreign minors and is in charge of the region Lazio for the Italian chapter of Mountain Wilderness. Within the Asian Desk Team, he is specifically responsible for re-establishing relations with India and Nepal.
