Francesca COLESANTI

Born in Florence in 1963, Francesca is a journalist and editor with a long career across Italian and international media. She has combined her work in communications with a lifelong dedication to mountaineering. Trained within the Paolo Consiglio Mountaineering School of the CAI, she became a National Instructor and later directed both the Spoleto and Umbrian mountaineering schools. Her climbing experience spans the Andes, Yosemite, Wadi Rum, the Western and Central Alps and, above all, the Dolomites. She continues to write, photograph and collaborate with magazines and organisations devoted to the culture of the mountains. Within the Asian Desk Team, she is responsible for media coverage and documentaries.
